How to Recreate Ashley Hart’s MSFW Makeup Look

Melbourne Spring Fashion Week has kicked off in glamorous style with an appearance by MSFW ambassador, Ashley Hart, on Channel Seven’s Sunrise program this morning. To look the part, the stunning Aussie model was given the Mecca treatment with a makeup look created by Mecca Maxima Makeup Artist, Rebecca Brown. Here, Rebecca takes us through step-by-step how she created Ash’s fresh makeup look and how you can recreate yourself…

Foundation: “I turned to a firm favourite of mine for its fresh, skin-like finish. Ellis Faas Skin Veil ticks all the boxes when it comes to a long-wearing, true-skin finish. Neither matte nor dewy it sits happily in the middle of the two, evening out the skin tone without appearing heavy.”

Concealer: “I concealed the eye area with the Ellis Faas Concealer. This creamy, clickable pen-style concealer mimics the Skin Veil’s camouflage antics and blends like a dream.”

Illuminator: “Chantecaille Liquid Lumiere in Brilliance is one of the new breed of creamy highlighters that applies so smoothly and just melts into the skin leaving behind a very skin flattering gleam. I gently pressed it along the tops of Ash’s cheekbones and on her cupid’s bow.”

Blush: “I hit her cheeks with a pop of pink with the new Nars Matte Multiple in Laos and let me tell you, the formula of these is really impressive. They are pigmented, won’t gather in pores and doesn’t feel slippery, meaning they will last past your morning coffee.”

Bronzer:  ”Ash currently has a fabulous tan, so little bronzer was needed but I did warm her face and softly contour her cheekbones and nose with another Matte Multiple. This time I used Vientiane and again I found myself pleasantly surprised at how well these merge with the skin, yet retain their colour. Love. Need. Want!”

Eyes:  ”I dove straight into the new Nars Dual Intensity Eyeshadow in Himalia with delight and emerged triumphant. Then I lined Ash’s upper waterline with Nars Larger than Life Long Wear Eyeliner in Via Veneto (black) to intensify her lashes but keep the eye look very open. Lashes were curled and coated in the eye-opening goodness that is the Kevyn Aucoin The Essential Mascara.”

Brows: “To finish off I brushed a little Hourglass Arch Sculpting Pencil in Soft Brunette through the brows.”

Lips: “I applied one of my all time favourite coral lipsticks, Nars Niagara which I patted on top for a fresh, undone yet face brightening finish.”
